Walking Trails around S-Buildings

By Kim Jong-hyeok Cub Reporter, Senior of Civil Engineering

Are you familiar with the walking trails around S-buildings in HBNU? There are many different walking trails around this area. Let’s take a walk together on a course that covers all the major buildings in the S section.

Starting from the main gate, our journey takes us from S0 to S11. As soon as we enter the main gate, we are immediately greeted by S1, the Library building at the front, the highest point of all buildings in HBNU. As we walk in front of S0, the International Exchange Center on your right, and you can see S2, the Student Center on your left, we will see a circular plaza around which we can gather and enjoy romance and relaxation. As you walk uphill from the circular plaza to the left, you will see a large parking lot. The building on the left side of the parking lot is S3, the Commerce Hall, and the building next to it is S5, the Industry Academia-Research Cooperation Hall. If you turn your head forward again and go uphill a bit, you will see S4, the Humanities and Social Sciences Building on your right. To the left of the building, there is a small downhill path that you can follow. As you walk down the path, you can enjoy the peacefulness of the road and the fresh air from the surrounding forest. As you make your way downhill at a leisurely pace, you will soon be able to see S6 and S8, which are shaped like an ‘A’ in front of you. In particular, there is a tunnel-like passageway that people can go in and out of under S8, so let’s walk through it, as if passing through a gateway. When you pass through and reach the other side of the building, you will see a group of landscaped pine trees in the center. There are benches in front of the pine trees, so why don’t you take a break here? Behind the pine trees, across the road from Design Building S10, you can see the gymnasium building S7 and the multipurpose field (basketball, volleyball, and soccer). If you walk with S10 on your left until you reach the opposite side of the multipurpose field, you will come to a fork in the road. Take the left path of the artificial turf field in front of you. Finally, you will arrive at your final destination, the buildings of S9, the Hanbat Incubator Town and S11, the R.O.T.C. Headquarters.

We finished our walk along the course that covers all the campus buildings in the S area, starting with S0 and ending with S11. If you take this article as a guide and walk along the HBNU S-buildings walking trail and review it yourself, you will be able to enjoy the campus like never before.
