  • - Introducing semester-based programs linked to majors to integrate with domestic degree courses- Advancing the system for fostering global-ready practical engineering talent and enhancing international competency for faculty□ Our university is pushing forward to enhance global engineering education competitiveness and strengthen the internationalization capabilities of faculty and staff through strategic partnerships with Deakin University and Macquarie University in Australia.○ On the 10th, Hanbat National University visited Deakin University to sign an agreement aimed at strengthening global educational cooperation and international academic exchange. Subsequently, on the 12th, the university reached an agreement with Macquarie University to jointly develop and operate a faculty-centered professional development program to enhance staff capabilities○ In particular, Hanbat National University and the two Australian institutions will jointly operate short-term winter and summer programs focusing on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics). Furthermore, they plan to introduce semester-based programs integrated with major curricula to ensure that overseas academic experiences are seamlessly linked with domestic degree requirements.○ Through these initiatives, students are expected to move beyond short-term, experience-oriented overseas training to establish sustainable global learning pathways that integrate their major studies with career planning.○ Furthermore, the university plans to expand the scope of cooperation to include dual and joint degree programs, specifically focusing on IT and high-tech fields. This initiative aims to establish a cultivation system for practical engineering talent with global competitiveness.□ Hanbat National University has consistently developed and operated global integrated education programs in partnership with prestigious world-class institutions, such as McGill University in Canada and the University of Leeds in the UK. Through these initiatives, the university has accumulated substantial operational experience and practical know-how in managing joint curricula and international cooperation programs.○ Building on these previous achievements, the collaboration with Deakin and Macquarie Universities holds great significance as a strategic expansion. It aims to further sophisticate the global engineering education model by fusing Hanbat National Universitys industry-linked engineering expertise with the advanced educational xss-frameworks of these prestigious overseas institutions.□ Furthermore, the initiative is not limited to student-oriented education programs; it will also expand to professional development programs for faculty and staff to enhance the sustainability of the universitys internationalization.○ Hanbat National University and Macquarie University plan to operate joint training sessions and workshops focused on enhancing staff capabilities in global-standard administrative services, student support, and university project planning. Furthermore, they will share practical best practices and operational expertise to strengthen their institutional xss-frameworks.○ Through this, we plan to enhance the internationalization awareness and practical capabilities of all university members, while strengthening administrative and educational xss-frameworks to proactively respond to changes in the global environment.□ President Oh Yong-jun of Hanbat National University stated, "This collaboration goes beyond simple overseas training or exchange; it is a strategic partnership designed to support engineering students in growing into talents equipped with the practical skills demanded by the global industry. We will continue to strengthen the global competitiveness of Hanbat National University by establishing an internationalization model where both students and staff grow together."

  • -Signed an MOU to cooperate on the establishment and operation of Woosong University's Technology Holding Company; Aiming to foster a customized industrial ecosystem for the local region□ Hanbat National University RISE Center (Director Woo Seung-han), Hanbat National University Technology Holdings (CEO Lim Jong-tae), and Woosong University RISE Center (Director Jeong Byung-hyun) have joined forces to sophisticate regional industry-university cooperation models and transform university research assets into core competitive strengths for local industries.○ On the morning of the 5th, the two universities signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for 'Cooperation in the Establishment and Operation of Technology Holdings' at the Industry-University-Research Cooperation Hall of Hanbat National University. Following the ceremony, they held working-level discussions focused on addressing the regional extinction crisis and revitalizing the local economy.○ This agreement was designed to materialize 'Mutual Growth between Universities and Local Industries,' a core xss-objective of the Regional Innovation System which go beyond simple technology transfer to directly foster and invest in startupsas the driving force for the RISE initiative."○ The two universities plan to jointly pursue the following initiatives: ▲Identifying promising technologies linked to the RISE project ▲Establishing subsidiaries in region-specific industries and advisory services for investment structures ▲Sharing technology commercialization infrastructure between the institutions ▲Providing comprehensive practical expertise, including consulting on subsidiary establishment and investment design ▲Developing joint technology commercialization projects.○ During the working-level discussions, strategies for building a self-sustaining ecosystem through 'professional manpower' and 'fundraising' were addressed in depth. Lim Jong-tae, CEO of Hanbat National University Technology Holdings, identified securing professional experts and continuous fund formation as key success factors. He shared detailed strategies for utilizing the Fund of Funds to establish an initial investment track record.○ In particular, Hanbat National University shared its success stories, such as 'generating a 14-fold return on investment' from a student startup, with the Woosong University RISE Center. Both institutions agreed to establish a 'win-win investment model' that fosters the collective growth of local universities.○ Furthermore, participants agreed that entrepreneurship and teamwork are as crucial to investment as technical prowess. They reaffirmed their commitment to fostering innovative enterprises through the RISE Centers specialized nurturing programs.□ Woo Seung-han, Director of the Hanbat National University RISE Center, stated, 'This agreement will serve as a prime example of the RISE project, where regional universities pool their capabilities to enhance the competitiveness of local industries.' He added, 'Through the working-level consultative body, we will promptly generate tangible results that contribute to the growth of local enterprises and the regional economy.
