- Free meals provided for 10 days, sponsored by the President covering for student’s cost
□ Hanbat National University (President Oh Yong-jun) announced on the 15th that to support students' health improvement and academic focus during this semester's final exam period, it is operating 'Breakfast for 0 Won,' going beyond 'Breakfast for 1,000 Won' and receiving a great response.
○ The 'Breakfast for 1,000 Won' project is an initiative promoted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs to prevent college students from skipping breakfast and to spread a healthy dietary culture, helping students reduce their financial burden and enjoy a high-quality breakfast through joint support from the government, local governments, and universities.
○ For 10 days from the 8th to the 19th, Hanbat National University is operating the 'Breakfast for 0 Won' by having the president sponsor the 1,000 won that students previously bore, thereby allowing students to access the breakfast completely free of charge.
○ Especially, this 'Breakfast for 0 Won' is receiving an enthusiastic response, to the extent that the prepared quantities are fully exhausted shortly after the operation begins at 8 AM.
○ In a situation where the burden of food expenses has surged due to rising inflation, this project is evaluated as not only reducing students' economic burden but also providing practical help in improving their health during the exam period by enabling them to start the day reliably with a solid meal.
□ Hanbat National University President Oh Yong-jun said, "Although it is a small support, I am relieved to hear that the number of students taking breakfast has increased thanks to it," and added, "We will make more efforts to ensure that our welfare support can be practically felt from the students' perspective in the future.“
