- Full-scale training of experts in semiconductors·AI design·drones begins... 61 people to receive training support

□ Hanbat National University (President Oh Yong-jun) announced on the 16th that three educational programs applied for the '2026 Specialized Training for Industrial Structural Transformation Project' organized by the Daejeon Regional Human Resources Development Committee were finally selected.

 ○ This selection is according to the results of the 3rd Special Sub-committee of the Daejeon Regional Human Resources Development Committee and Hanbat National University will operate educational programs for fostering experts in regional strategic industries and new industry fields.

 ○ The selected programs are a total of three programs ▲ Semiconductor Process Equipment and Device Fabrication Expert Training Program ▲ AI-based Content Design Expert Training Program and ▲ Drone Flight Space·Facility Modeling and Monitoring Expert Training Program.

 ○ Especially, the fields of semiconductors artificial intelligence AI and drones are future growth industries that the government and local communities focus on fostering and are expected to provide substantial job competency improvement opportunities to youth who wish to find employment in related fields

□ The total project cost is about 136 million won and the Semiconductor Process Equipment and Device Fabrication Expert Training Program will educate 25 people for a total of 360 hours while the AI-based Content Design Expert Training Program will educate 20 people for 240 hours.

 ○ In addition, the Drone Flight Space·Facility Modeling and Monitoring Expert Training Program plans to educate 16 people for a total of 120 hours making the total training personnel for the three programs 61 people.

 ○ The education is scheduled to operate in full scale from the end of June and inquiries about eligibility requirements and application participation can be made through the Hanbat National University HRD Center.

□ HRD Center Director Byun Young-jo said, “This selection for the Specialized Training for Industrial Structural Transformation Business is a result of recognition for Hanbat National University's educational capabilities and regional industry connection achievements” and added “We will do our best to contribute to resolving the manpower shortage of regional enterprises and vitalizing youth employment by fostering core talents in future industry fields such as semiconductors AI and drones.”

□ Meanwhile, the Specialized Training for Industrial Structural Transformation Business is a vocational competency development training business operated by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and Regional Human Resources Development Committees to respond to regional industrial structure changes supporting the nurturing of talents in regional new industry and strategic industry fields.

 ○ The Hanbat National University HRD Center plans to strengthen regional youth's employment competency through practical-focused education reflecting the demands of industrial fields and enterprise linkage programs and support them so that they can lead to employment in related fields after completing the education.
