- Holding practical skills competition in advanced classroom celebrating AI Design Center opening, experiencing futuristic design education environment

□ Hanbat National University (President Oh Yong-jun) announced that it concluded the '14th National High School Design Practical Skills Competition' on campus on the 23rd.

 ○ Jointly organized by the Department of Visual Communication and Media Design and the Department of Industrial Design, this competition has established itself as a venue for high school students nationwide to demonstrate their creative thinking and expressive capabilities, discovering and fostering future talent in the design field while presenting the right direction for design college entrance examinations.

 ○ In this competition, 400 students recruited from across the country on a first-come, first-served basis were divided into 274 participants in Basic Design, 72 in Situational Expression, and 54 in Panel Comic, and fiercely competed on given topics.

 ○ In particular, this year's competition added special significance as the practical test for the Panel Comic section was held in the advanced classroom on the 1st floor of the recently completed AI Design Center.

 ○ The AI Design Center is an educational and research space that combines artificial intelligence and design, allowing participating students to experience a futuristic design education environment in advance while taking the practical test in modern facilities.

 ○ After the practical test ended, fair and professional evaluation was conducted, led by faculty members from Hanbat National University's design departments.

□ The head of the Department of Visual Communication and Media Design Park Man-ki said, "As this year's competition was held in the newly built AI Design Center, it was a meaningful occasion where students could demonstrate their capabilities in an advanced environment." He added, "We hope more future talents who will lead the design field continue to be discovered and fostered through the Hanbat National University practical skills competition.“

□ Meanwhile, Hanbat National University, approaching its 100th anniversary, plans to enhance university competitiveness through education and research combining AI and design and contribute to creating a national design innovation ecosystem, and this competition served as an important opportunity to present the direction of future design education to students in the process of realizing this vision.
