RISE Project Group, Successful Completion of ‘2026 1st DAEJEON Regional University Alliance for Industry-Academic Cooperation’

The RISE Center of Hanbat National University (President Oh Yong-jun) announced that it held the 2026 1st Daejeon Regional University Alliance for Industry-Academic Cooperation (hereinafter referred to as the Alliance) General Assembly on campus on the 2nd.

 ○ This general assembly was arranged to share the achievements of the 2025 Alliance joint university programs and to discuss the operational direction and detailed plans for the educational cooperation programs among universities under the 2026 Daejeon RISE Project.

 ○ The event was attended by 31 people, including the heads of RISE centers and working-level professors from 13 member universities of the Alliance Konyang University Hanbat National University Daeduk University Daejeon Institute of Science and Technology Daejeon University Daejeon Health University Mokwon University Pai Chai University Woosong University Woosong College Chungnam National University Korea Polytechnic IV Hannam Universityas well as officials from the Daejeon RISE Center.

The general assembly began with a welcoming speech by Woo Seung-han, the head of the Hanbat National University RISE Center and president of the Alliance, followed by a report by Professor Lee Jong-won of the Hanbat National University RISE Center on the 2025 Alliance operational performance and the status of advanced promotional activities.

 ○ As for the main contents, the achievements in advancing the operational foundation of the Alliance, as well as the operational results and key performances of 17 joint educational cooperation programs among universities, were shared.

 ○ Subsequently, a deliberation was conducted on the operational plans for 14 joint educational cooperation programs among universities centered on the Alliance to be promoted in 2026, and Hannam University was elected as the next 11th chair institution.

 ○ Sung In-ha, the head of the Hannam University RISE Center who took office as the 11th president, stated, "Based on our experience operating as the 2nd and 3rd chair institution, I feel a heavy sense of responsibility and will do my best for the development of the Alliance. We will cooperate closely with Mokwon University, which was elected alongside us as the vice-chair institution, to further strengthen the creation of joint achievements among member universities and inter-university connection and cooperation."

 ○ Woo Seung-han, the head of the Hanbat National University RISE Center who has led the Alliance as the 9th and 10th president, said, "Thanks to the active participation and support of all member universities, we were able to further advance the joint program operation system through close cooperation among member universities during my tenure. I hope that the Alliance will continue to grow as a representative university cooperation network leading regional innovation."
