Department of Convergence Management at Hanbat National University Operates Joint Classes and Team Projects with Fontys University

- Signing a mutual cooperation agreement between the Department of Convergence Management at Hanbat National University and the Department of International Business at Fontys University

 

Hanbat National University President Oh Yong-jun Department of Convergence Management announced that it operated joint classes and team projects with Fontys University of Applied Sciences hereinafter Fontys University in the Netherlands.

 

 ○ This class was prepared through an exchange of opinions between Fontys University Professor Choi Hwan-hee and Hanbat National University Department of Convergence Management Professor Choi Jong-in since a year ago when Professor Choi designed the K-Wave Korean Wave course Around 80 people attended including 5 professors who guided the K-Wave course 31 students who completed it and 41 students from the Department of Convergence Management at Hanbat National University.

 

 ○ The K-Wave Korean Wave minor course operated by Fontys University is the first educational program in a European university to cover the convergence of Koreas entertainment business and global influence Beyond a simple fandom for K-culture such as K-Pop and K-Drama it researches and educates on the background of Koreas growth into a global powerhouse and its business innovation strategies with a practical focus.

 

 ○ Fontys University students who visited Hanbat National University participated in the Principles of Management class taught by Professor Choi Jong-in which is taken by students of the Department of Convergence Management and the College of Humanities at Hanbat National University They formed joint teams with Hanbat National University students to perform team projects that solve global issues such as cultural differences between both countries climate change and risk society responses from a business and entrepreneurship perspective.

 

 ○ Professor Choi Jong-in explained the INC model which is a methodology of entrepreneurship and provided worksheets to help students discuss and derive ideas It was a meaningful time of cooperation as it had been prepared for a long time together with the Hanbat National University HUSS Research Institute.

 

 ○ Hanbat National University Department of Convergence Management student Jeon Yu-jin said Conducting marketing team activities and campus tours with Dutch students allowed me to directly experience various cultural perspectives and communication differences In particular the way they freely expressed their opinions and respected each others thoughts during the team activity process was impressive.

 

Meanwhile, during this visit a business agreement was signed between the Department of Convergence Management at Hanbat National University and the Department of International Business at Fontys University and specific opinions were exchanged to strengthen the development of project classes and various educational and research cooperation.

 

 ○ In addition the Fontys University delegation visited the Special R and D Zone to look into science technology and innovation policies that became the driving force of Koreas economic development and visited the Lee Ungno Museum to appreciate the artistic spirit of the late Goam Lee Ungno who was active in Europe and attempted convergence.

 

 ○ They also visited the Sungsimdang Culture Center and heard explanations from Director Im Seon about the history of Sungsimdang which started with two bags of flour how a local enterprise is loved in the region and the management philosophy of EoC Economy of Communion leaving a touching letter.

 

 ○ After completing the two-week schedule and returning on the 18th Fontys University Professor Rumeysa Gungor said I sincerely enjoyed visiting Daejeon and Hanbat National University and the cultural elements of Sungsimdang and the touching stories contained there left a deep impression She added Cooperation with Hanbat National University is very important in the future and I earnestly hope it continues to be realized.
