The high-tech industry of the 21st century, which considers humans and the environment together, requires the complexity and integration of all fields of science and engineering such as mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, and computer. The Department of Chemical Biotechnology wants to train engineers who have complex knowledge of chemical biotechnology and can actively cope with new academic fields by operating convergence curriculum required by the future society. Industrial fields that chemical biotechnology can contribute to are petrochemical, energy/environment, precision chemistry, polymers, electronics, Nano Technology (NT), and Bio Technology (Bio Technology)
