Department Overview and Objectives
- Hanbat National University Department of Entrepreneurship aims to serve as a cradle of young entrepreneurs in connection with tech startup education, industry-university cooperation centered on entrepreneurship, and early startup growth support with the goal of “building a platform of the highest level to foster high-quality technology entrepreneurs and entrepreneurship experts.”
- With the objectives to expand the pool of tech startup founders and increase the success rate of startups by fostering “high-quality” startups, the Department of Entrepreneurship aims to create a system that synergistically links together key success factors such as excellent source technology, quality founders, startup support systems, and market evaluation with a focus on local tech startups.
- In order to achieve the above vision and goals, the Department of Entrepreneurship has secured technology platforms, entrepreneurship education algorithms, and market-oriented investment and incubation systems to become an “educational institution specializing in technology entrepreneurship education and execution.”
Focuses of Education and Research
- The Department of Entrepreneurship offers a business track and an expert track.
- From admission to graduation, the Business Track offers a curriculum that allows students to redefine their direction together with market experts in order to build upon their current business ideas developed from their own perspective.
- The Expert Track offers a curriculum that helps entrepreneurs learn the tools and algorithms of HBNU Department of Entrepreneurship and practice applying them in the field to hone their capabilities.
- 1. Admissions (1st semester) : Verify your business (from an investment perspective)
- (After entering the school, the class will be conducted with government funds)
- 2. Classes (2 years) :
- Identify issues that must be addressed to strengthen the business
- Arrange reinforcement and collaboration resources
- (After 2 years of class, I will graduate with investment funds)
- 3. Graduation : Investment (follow-on investment), revenue growth, etc.
Self-directed study -> Learn → Realizations on one’s own (experience)
- Tools and logic algorithms
- Independent pivoting & MY Treasure Database (heuristic)
- Application opportunities (expert: coaching -> execution)
- Formation of partnerships in the second year and after graduation (continuity)

The Nature of the Discipline and Its Prospects
- HBNU Department of Entrepreneurship offers a curriculum that enables students to not only learn, but also to internalize the ability to change themselves so that they can continually generate new ideas. The curriculum has been developed based on various tools and algorithms (TEC, KS-QFD, Inno Clinic Program, etc.) and provides opportunities to gain field experience. In other words, the Department of Entrepreneurship at HNBU has been inspired by the medical school model.
- Students will be able to maintain partnerships with the department after graduation to obtain new entrepreneurship training content and to participate in programs that will help them grow and develop together.
