Department Overview and Objectives

The Department of Law and Public Administration at Hanbat National University was established in 2025 with the goal of cultivating practice-oriented public professionals through specialized legal education.

The department is designed for current public officials and members of public institutions, aiming to strengthen their ability to interpret laws in policy implementation and to develop professional competencies that integrate theoretical and practical knowledge. Through this, students enhance their capacity to ensure legal accountability within public organizations and uphold the rule of law in administrative practices.

Furthermore, by fostering public professionals who pursue harmony between public interest and administrative practice, the department seeks to contribute to the development of the nation and local communities.

Focuses of Education and Research

Students develop expertise to systematically understand and analyze various areas of law and the principles of administrative operations.

They also cultivate the ability to integrate theory and practice in law and public administration, ensuring legal accountability and legitimacy within public organizations. In addition, they build competence to analyze diverse social issues arising in administrative processes and to propose reasonable policy alternatives and legal interpretations.
