청각장애인을 위한 ‘배리어 프리 영화 자막 제작 및 상영회’ 개최

□ 우리 대학은 인문도시지원사업 프로그램의 하나로 청각장애인을 위한 ‘배리어 프리 영화 자막 제작 및 상영회’를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

□ Our university announced that it held a 'barrier-free film subtitle production and screening' for the hearing impaired as part of the humanities city support project program.

 ○ ‘배리어 프리 영화 자막 제작 및 상영회’는 장애의 경계를 넘어서 모두가 누리는 문화를 지향하는 인문학 프로그램으로, 특히 한국영화에 대한 접근성이 어려운 청각장애인들을 위해 화면 해설 자막을 시민들이 직접 참여하여 제작하고, 그 결과물을 활용하여 청각장애인과 함께 영화 상영회를 갖는 프로그램이다.

□ 먼저 지난 17일, 24일, 25일에는 사전에 신청한 20명의 유성구민을 대상으로 배리어 프리 영화 자막 제작 교육 및 실습을 진행했고, 모든 과정을 이수한 구민들에게는 수료증을 지급했다.

□ First, barrier-free film subtitle production training and practice were conducted for 20 residents who applied in advance, and completion certificates were given to residents who completed all courses on 17th, 24th, and 25th.

 ○ 그리고, 31일에는 대학 인근의 카페에이치에서 청각장애인과 자막 제작 참여 구민, 대전시 주민 등 50여 명이 참여한 가운데 구민들이 직접 참여하며 만든 배리어 프리 자막을 활용한 영화 상영회를 개최했다.

 ○ 이번 ‘배리어 프리 영화 자막 제작 및 상영회’에 대한 설문조사 결과 99%가 재참여를 희망했으며, 97%가 프로그램에 대한 높은 만족도를 보였다.

 ○ 특히 본 인문학 프로그램을 통해 장애인과 함께 하는 문화 행사와 배리어 프리에 대한 필요성 및 인지도가 이전보다 20%이상 상승한 것으로 조사되어 프로그램의 우수성과 대중성을 확인할 수 있었다.

□ 이번 프로그램을 기획․운영한 한국언어문학연구소장 윤인선 교수는 “이번 인문학 프로그램은 우리 대전지역에서 개최된 배리어 프리 영화 자막 제작 및 상영회라는 점에서 의미가 있으며, 이를 통해 현재 국립한밭대학교와 유성구가 함께 진행하고 있는 인문도시지원사업의 주제인 ‘사람, 서로에게 물들다’의 의미가 자연스럽게 소통될 수 있는 기회였다”라고 평가했다.

□ 한편, 한국연구재단이 주최하는 인문도시지원사업은 우리 지역에서는 국립한밭대학교 인문교양학부와 한국언어문학연구소 그리고 유성구가 공동으로 주관하고 있으며, 2022년 하반기부터 유성구 인문학 도시 브랜딩 ‘별빛물듦의 도시, 유성’을 주제로 다양한 인문학 체험 행사를 지역주민들에게 제공하고 있다.

□ Meanwhile, the Humanities and Urban Support Project hosted by National Research Foundation of Korea (NRF) is jointly organized by the Department of Humanities and Culture at Hanbat National University, the Korea Language and Literature Institute, and Yuseong-gu. Since the second half of 2022, various humanities experience events have been provided to local residents under the theme of Yuseong-gu's humanities city branding, "City of Starlight Swarming, Yuseong".
